Ich bin Soziologe und derzeit Gastprofessor für Disability Studies an der Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin. Zuvor war ich als Vertretungsprofessor für partizipative Ansätze in den Sozial- und Gesundheitswissenschaften ebenfalls an der ASH Berlin sowie als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Soziologie der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und am Institut für Sozialwesen der Universität Kassel tätig. Zu meinen Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören Queer Migration; Intersectional Disability Justice; Soziologie sozialer Ungleichheit; Rassismus und Ableismus; Disability Studies und Critical Race Theory (DisCrit); Dekoloniale Methodologien; Partizipative Forschung. Außerdem bin ich Mitglied der IDEA Global Research Innovation Advisory Group an der Toronto Metropolitan University in Kanada sowie Gründer und Geschäftsführer des Netzwerks Intersectional Disability Justice (IDJ). Im Rahmen von „The Good Family Visiting Faculty Fellowship“ werde ich von Januar bis September 2026 als Visiting Professor of Sociology an der Queen’s University, Canada zum Thema Intersectional Disability Justice forschen.
I am Sociologist and Visiting Professor of Disability Studies at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences (ASH Berlin). Previously, I have worked as Visiting Professor of participatory approaches in the social and health sciences at ASH Berlin, as a research associate at the Institute of Sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, and the University of Kassel, Germany. I hold a PhD from Humboldt University of Berlin on intersectional colonialities of racism and ableism. My research and teaching interests include: Intersectional Disability Justice; Racism & Ableism; Gender & Queer Studies; Diversity & Intersectionality; Sociology of Race & Ethnic Relations; Migration & Mobility; Postcolonial & Decolonial Theories; Climate & Social Justice; Participatory Research. I’m also a member of the IDEA Global Research Innovation Advisory Group at Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada as well as the Founder and Executive Director of the Network, Intersectional Disability Justice (IDJ). As a visiting professor of sociology, I will be part of „The Good Family Visiting Faculty Fellowship“ (Jan-Sep 2026) to conduct research on the topic of „Intersectional Disability Justice“ at Queen’s University, Canada.
