Ich bin Postdoc am Zentrum für Interdisziplinäre Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung (ZIFG) der TU Berlin und lehre zu Feminismus, Rassismus und Intersektionalität in postkolonialen Kontexten. Mein Ziel ist eine politisierte Sozialforschungspraxis, die am Alltag ansetzt, kreative Ausdrucksformen zulässt und akademisches Wissen provinzialisiert.
In meiner Forschung befasse ich mich soziologisch mit afrikanischen und Schwarzen feministischen Bewegungen und Theorien, die ich für tiefgreifende Dekolonisierungsprozesse als unverzichtbar erachte. Eine materialistische Perspektive, die die Kritik der neokolonialen Ökonomie und imperialer Ideologien in die Analyse einbezieht, begleitet mich dabei. Im Hinblick auf die Dekolonisierung der Bildung erarbeite ich mit meinen Kolleg*innen am Institut Möglichkeiten der Überarbeitung und Neugestaltung der Curricula, Lernräume, institutionellen Prozesse und transnationalen akademischen Beziehungen.Ich bin in unterschiedlichen antirassistischen Initiativen aktiv, u.a. in der KOP Berliner Kampagne für die Opfer rassistischer Polizeigewalt.
Es wäre mir eine große Freude, weiter als Vorstandsmitglied an der FG DeKolonial e.V. mitzuwirken und feministische Dekolonisierungsprozesse über diesen Weg zu voranzutreiben.
I am a postdoc at the Center for Interdisciplinary Women’s and Gender Studies (ZIFG) at TU Berlin and teach on feminism, racism and intersectionality in postcolonial contexts. My goal is a politicized social research practice that is grounded in everyday life, allows for creative forms of expression and provincializes academic knowledge.
In my research, I engage sociologically with African and Black feminist movements and theories, which I consider indispensable for profound decolonization processes. This is accompanied by a materialist perspective that incorporates a critique of the neo-colonial economy and imperial ideologies into the analysis. With regard to the decolonization of education, I work with my colleagues at the institute on ways to revise and redesign curricula, learning spaces, institutional processes and transnational academic relations. I am active in various anti-racist initiatives, including the KOP Berlin Campaign for Victims of Racist Police Violence.
It would be a great pleasure for me to continue as a board member of the FG DeKolonial e.V. and to promote feminist decolonization processes in this way.
