We warmly invite you to the public meeting of the working group Post-Soviet Legacies in the Global Context, which will take place online on Monday, 26 January, from 18:30 to 20:00 CET.
The kick-off session will be held with Prof. Manuela Boatcă, Professor of Sociology at the University of Freiburg. Her work is situated at the intersection of postcolonial and decolonial theory, world-systems analysis, global inequalities, and the sociology of knowledge, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Global South. Prof. Boatcă’s research critically examines how modernity, coloniality, and global power relations are co-constituted beyond conventional West–East or North–South binaries.
